Who are Kytes Theatre Group?

Kytes was formed in 1980 by a small group of like minded individuals. The primary objectives of the Group were, and still are, to perform contemporary drama, which both challenges the cast, but also entertains the audience. This can be evidenced in some of Kytes’ more recent productions; Closer, Amadeus, A Passionate Woman, Don Juan In Soho, Vinegar Tom & A Streetcar Named Desire.

A desire to put on shows of the highest quality has always been at the heart of everything we do, and, as a result, the Group has been successful in attracting some of the best acting talent to its ranks.  Over the years, we have won many awards for our work having won the Brentwood Theatre award for best production of a play.  The Brent awards review all productions taking place at The Brentwood Theatre over the course of a year, so to be voted best play is a fantastic achievement, of which we are all very proud.

Our group is continually growing both in membership and ideas for new shows, new writing and new and exciting ways of presenting challenging theatre.
